Sail, paddle, walk
You can reach Kinaba in several ways, including by sailing, canoe, kayak, motorboat, or on foot. Visitors can cross Lake Cootharaba from Boreen Point or Elanda Point (Noosa Habitat).
There is also a walking track from Elanda Point Road. The track starts on the left-hand side of the road, opposite the Canoe Launch turn-off. The return walk is 12.2km.
Exploring the Upper Noosa River
From Kinaba, you can continue along the Upper Noosa River ↗️to just below the junction with Teewah Creek. Motorboats are not allowed past Campsite 3.
There are 15 campsites along the river, and camping permits are required.
Cooloola Wilderness Trail
The Cooloola Wilderness Trail ↗️ continues to Mullens Car Park and is 47.9km one way. Visitors should check for track closures before travelling.

Cooloola Great Walk
The Cooloola Great Walk ↗️can be reached from Kinaba by crossing Lake Cootharaba to Teewah Landing and walking towards Teewah Beach. From there, head towards Mt Seewah, which offers excellent views, and join the Great Walk track. The full walk is about 75km long.

Access from the Upper Noosa River
The Cooloola Great Walk can also be accessed from Campsite 3 on the Upper Noosa River. This route is about 55km long.
